You are free to use all other code in the patches in any way which does not violate the ETQW and ETQW SDK EULA. 
As a courtesy, you are requested to include any relevent documentation and credits.

The patches are generated by gnu patch from my local tree, and should apply cleanly to the 1.4.
You may notice a few lines like:

in the patch file. Some of the SDK files don't contain a final EOL. If you want to preserve this
you can remove the offending hunk with a text editor.

You may have to adjust the line endings.

If you choose to include any of this code in your own mod, you do so at your own risk.
It has not been rigorously tested, and is provided AS IS.
