Return to Castle Wolfenstein Map-  Heavy Water  2(Final) 

Installation instructions:  Place the PK3 zip in your Main folder in your Return to Castle Wolfenstein directory.
Run Wolfenstein MP
If Heavy Water is running allready on a server then clicking in to that server wull start your pk3 itself.
If you wanna run around in the map, set it up for a LAN or admire the views:
Bring down the console with Tilde(under the Esc. button)
Type in /sv_pure 0 (enter)

                                                                   Heavy Water                                                           


The year is 1944, across all fronts the armies of the Third Reich are facing certain defeat.
The Fuhrer anxiously awaits news from occupied Hungary regarding a  project to develop a new weapon, a weapon so great in power that the free world will capitulate under the shadow of certain annihilation.
The Atom Bomb.

Under the guise of a crematorium handling the disposal  of  combatants and civillians alike,shipments of Heavy Water have been arriving  to enable the prototype Atomic Reactor to produce weapon grade enriched Uranium.


The Allies have recieved information regarding the true nature of the plant and a mission has been urgently called. The plant must be destroyed utterly before enriched Uranium can be processed, all personel within the plant, neutralised.

It is believed that the manufacturing process is flawed, if both Heavy Water holding tanks were to be suddenly opened, it is believed that a "Critical Mass" event would cause massive and total destruction.

The destiny of the free world will be decided here, in this time: "Move out soldiers!"

Gameplay:

This map has one main objective at its core:to start a "Critical Mass" process by triggering two Heavy Water dump tanks which are controlled from a central point in the main machine/pump area.
This triggering can only be done simultaneously by two team members pushing the triggers virtually at the same time! A second either way and the reaction will NOT begin!
Similarly the opposing team(Axis in the case of defending the installation)can only deactivate the process in the same way as the Allies, two players simultaneously, all this while under intense fire!!!
For Clan challenge, this surely seperates the men from the boys.

This map has been wonderfully scripted by Gerbil over at  www. theburrow.rtcwfiles.com (The patience of a saint!!!!!)who devoted a considerable time to this project while his own may have suffered at the expense. Wouldn't  be what you see now if it wern't for him. Cheers again, man!

The build and brush and texture work took from the end of March 2002 till June 2002.
Fiddling around and learning how entities behave took an additional six+ weeks(slow learner,me!)

Comment. This map is set as a "Final" as it has been gone over so many times by different people that theoretically it should play without major horror. Should there be any nasty things that develop in-game please get in touch with me at ecarlile@elender.hu and I will get on a fix for it. 
 

Comment. This is now version 2 of Heavy Water, some issues of fps have been looked at and some smoke removed.
This map is now Final!
